Jeff Gardiner Jeff Gardner – President & CEO, Windstream
Jeff Gardner is President & Chief Executive Officer for Windstream. Gardner has worked in the telecommunications industry for more than 25 years and is executing a focused strategy to transform Windstream and create value for shareholders. Windstream has completed nine acquisitions since its 2006 spinoff from Alltel Corp., adding more than $4 billion in revenue and creating approximately $300 million in operating and capital synergies. Gardner was appointed to the position in December 2005. He previously served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Alltel Corp. He joined Alltel in 1998 when the company merged with 360° Communications.

Steve Shannon Steve Shannon – General Manager, Content and Services, Roku
Steve Shannon heads Roku’s content and services group which is responsible for establishing new content relationships, acquiring entertainment and growing services on the Roku platform. Steve has co-founded and led many successful companies that have shaped the digital living room. Prior to Roku, Steve held senior executive roles at digital media companies, RealD and Gemstar-TV Guide. Steve also has deep experience growing digital media start-ups from the ground up. He co-founded iband and sold it to Macromedia after developing what is now Adobe’s Dreamweaver product line. Steve also co-founded and Akimbo Systems, the first Internet video-on-demand service for television. Prior to Akimbo, Steve launched ReplayTV, the first digital video recorder and drove product, marketing, and sales strategies. Steve holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California at Los Angeles and an MBA from University of California at Berkeley.

Bernie brings over 18 years of telecom experience to Pivot Media, where he provides strategic direction and leadership. Bernie follows the telecom industry closely and conducts industry research and analysis, provides strategic consulting for clients, and cultivates insightful telecom mindshare. Bernie is also the editor-in-chief of Telecompetitor, a leading telecom industry blog. Prior to Pivot, Bernie spent seven years with the NTCA as the vice president of business development. Prior to his work with NTCA, Bernie worked for Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in network operations. Jared Baumann Jared Baumann – Manager, Market Development and Deployment for Fiber, C Spire
Jared Baumann, a 17 year telecommunications industry veteran, is manager of Market Development and Deployment for C Spire’s next-generation 1 Gbps consumer broadband fiber optic Internet initiative.  Since joining C Spire in 2012, Baumann has played a key role in company efforts to forge unique public-private partnerships with 10 Mississippi cities and bring 100 times faster Internet and related digital HD TV and phone service to consumers across the state.  An Ole Miss graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Baumann resides in Clinton, Mississippi.  C Spire is a Ridgeland, Mississippi-based telecommunications and technology services company.

Shirley Bloomfield is chief executive officer of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, the premier association representing nearly 900 independent, community-based telecommunications companies that are leading innovation in rural and small-town America. Under Bloomfield’s leadership, in March 2013 NTCA (previously the National Telecommunications Cooperative Association) launched as a unified organization representing both commercial and cooperative telecommunications providers, initiating a new era for rural telecommunications. Bloomfield is a veteran of the telecommunications industry, having served in a variety of leadership roles since 1985. In addition to her more than 20 years of service to NTCA, Bloomfield also served for a brief time as senior vice president of federal relations for Qwest and vice president of federal relations for Verizon. Bloomfield serves as a board member of the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative and GlobanWin, an organization of women leaders in the high-tech industry.
Steven Cochran Steve Cochran – President & CEO, WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone
Prior to joining WOW!, Steven served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Millennium Digital Media, the nation’s 19th largest cable operator. In this role, Steven was responsible for all of the company’s accounting, finance, and treasury related functions. During his tenure at Millennium, Steven also served as Senior Vice President of Finance and Vice President/Controller. Prior to Millennium, Steven was with Arthur Andersen where the majority of his time was focused on serving clients in the telecommunications industry. Steven received his undergraduate degree in Economics and holds a Master’s of Accounting Science from the University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign. Steven is also a Certified Public Accountant.
Jason_Chan Jason Chan – Market Development Manager, CenturyLink
Jason Chan is the Market Development Manager for CenturyLink, the country’s 3rd largest telecommunications company.  In this role, Chan develops and executes marketing strategies, product expansion rollouts, community relations and public relations. Most recently, Chan spearheaded the Company’s recent 1 Gigabit consumer launch. Prior to CenturyLink, Chan nurtured his entrepreneurial spirit, owning several businesses including car washes, an energy drink company, and a real estate investment group. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Honors College.
 Vern Dosch Vern Dosch – President & CEO, NISC
Vern Dosch is NISC’s President & CEO.  NISC provides billing, accounting and engineering software solutions to more than 700 rural utilities and telephone companies and 8,200,000 end customers in 48 states, American Samoa, Palau and Canada. With offices in Mandan, N.D., Lake Saint Louis, Mo., Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Shawano, Wis., NISC employs more than 1,000 highly-skilled employees. Dosch, a life-long resident of Bismarck-Mandan, holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Management degree from the University of Mary.
Rich Fickle Rich Fickle – President & CEO, NCTC
Rich Fickle is the President & CEO of the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) since July 2011. He is a 30-year industry veteran who has worked extensively with a broad array of cable operators, programmers, studios and technology providers. Previously, Rich worked for Ascent Media, and served in several executive leadership positions, most recently as Senior Vice President of Cable/Telco VOD and TVE Services for Deluxe Entertainment, which acquired Ascent in January 2011. Ascent was a Liberty Media company. Prior to joining Ascent in 2001, he was Senior Vice President/General Manager of Headend in the Sky (HITS) and Interactive TV for AT&T Broadband, with significant focus on the independent cable operators who became loyal customers of the service. Rich has enjoyed being part of the senior leadership team in growing many new business units that were driven by changes in technology along with the consumer demand for greater choice, convenience and control.
Rob Gessner Robert Gessner – President, MCTV
Bob Gessner is President of MCTV, a family-owned company with a mission to “go the extra smile” for more than 47,000 homes and businesses in five counties. Bob earned a Bachelors of Business Administration from the College of William in Virginia in 1976. He began his cable career in 1979 when he returned to his hometown to be Massillon Cable TV’s Marketing Manager.
Randy Klindt Randy Klindt – General Manager, Co-Mo Connect, A Subsidiary of Co-Mo Electric Coop
Randy served as the project manager for Co-Mo Electric Cooperative for a 100 mile fiber to the home pilot to determine feasibility.  After exceeding the assumptions of the pilot project, the cooperative in 2012 announced its plan to construct fiber on all 4,000 miles of electrical distribution plant to serve 100% of the cooperative’s members with fiber to the home service. Randy was then promoted to general manager of Co-Mo Comm Inc., the electric cooperative’s new telecommunications subsidiary.  Co-Mo recently announced gigabit residential and business service available earlier this year.
Cullen_McCarty Cullen McCarty – Executive Vice President, Smithville Communications
Cullen McCarty is Executive Vice President of Smithville Communications. He has nearly two decades of experience working in the telecommunications industry, all of it with Smithville Communications and its sister companies. In 2003, Cullen was named President of Smithville Telecom which is a full service competitive carrier serving businesses and institutions throughout Indiana. Cullen is the fifth generation owner of Smithville Communications. He has a BA in History from Indiana University.
kevin morgan Kevin Morgan – Vice Chair, FTTH Council
Kevin is a seasoned telecom professional with more than 23 years of experience in the industry. He joined ADTRAN in 1996 as a product manager and since that time has held assignments of increasing responsibility in product management, product marketing, international marketing and customer advocacy. Prior to joining ADTRAN, he worked for Bell South as the technical liaison with the North Carolina State Government in the deployment of the company’s first ATM fiber network. Over the past two years, Kevin Morgan has served in leadership positions with the FTTH Council as the 2009 Marketing Committee chair and the 2010 Government Affairs Committee chair.
Matt_Polka Matt Polka – President & CEO, The American Cable Association
Matthew M. Polka is president and CEO of the American Cable Association (ACA). In this role, Polka is responsible for ensuring the organization fulfills its mission to support independent cable operators, their communities and their customers by promoting a legislative and regulatory environment that allows for a fair and competitive marketplace. Polka provides a strong voice for ACA’s 1,100 member companies, testifying on Capitol Hill and at the FCC, writing articles for industry trade publications and speaking at numerous events. Polka graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from West Virginia University and was named Outstanding Graduate in Journalism by the Society of Professional Journalists. He is also a graduate of Pittsburgh’s Duquesne University School of Law, where he was editor of the law school newsmagazine, JURIS, a member of the Order of the Barrister, and recipient of the Law School’s Most Distinguished Graduate award.

She is responsible for the editorial direction of Telephony Magazine and its supplements, Wireless Review® and The Independent(TM), as well as e-media content and events for the publication group. She joined Light Reading after 24 years of covering telecom technology and services for other publications, including Telephony, Inter@ctive Week, and The Net Economy, and also previously founded a telecom news Website, BroadbandEdge. Luc is CTO Wireline accounts for the Alcatel-Lucent North American sales organization.  Luc’s career includes over 25 years of experience in different telecommunication sub domains such as core routing, wireline access, enterprise networking, IPTV and multimedia. In these domains Luc was active in a multitude of roles spanning from product line management to strategy and technology evangelism. He started his career with fundamental research on protocol analysis and was a part time professor. Luc holds a Ph.D. in computer science from the “Vrije Universiteit Brussel”, Belgium and has multiple telecom patents.

Craig Drinkhall Craig Drinkhall – CTO, Lumos Networks
Mr. Drinkhall was appointed Chief Technology Officer of Lumos Networks in January of 2014. In this role Craig is responsible for Product Management, Program Management, Engineering and Network Planning, Service Delivery, Outside Plant, Operations and Network Operations. Prior to joining Lumos Networks, he was an independent consultant specializing in business development, product development, marketing strategy and information technology from 2007 to 2012. John Egan became president of HomeGrid Forum in January 2013, after serving for two years as vice president. He is a prolific contributor on G.hn in articles and at major telecommunication standards bodies, including ITU-T, IEEE and Broadband Forum. He works closely with Service Providers world-wide, helping with their deployment planning and ensuring that HomeGrid understands their current home networking needs. John has worked within the whole telecom eco-system including AT&T, Bell Labs, large telecom system  and silicon companies. Previous roles include engineering, product management, marketing and sales, so he brings a knowledgeable, broad vision to his role as chief evangelist and leader for HomeGrid.

Joan Engebretson Joan Engebretson – Executive Editor, Telecompetitor
Joan Engebretson is Executive Editor of Telecompetitor. Joan has been writing about telecommunications since 1992. She has been editor-in-chief of two telecom industry publications—Telephony Magazine. Under Engebretson’s leadership, America’s Network won several awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, including a 2001 national gold award for her commentary. In 2009, she won best on-line column in min’s Editorial and Design Awards. Engebretson has a BA in journalism and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
Mileend Gadkari Mileend Gadkari – Vice President, North American Business Development, Sckipio
Mileend is a semiconductor industry veteran with 15 years creating and helping service providers deploy networking technologies. Prior to Sckipio, Mileend was a business development director for FiberZone, Sigma Designs and CopperGate Communications. Before that, he designed network processor chipsets for residential gateways at PMC Sierra and BRECIS Communications.
Bill Gerski Bill Gerski – Vice President of Sales, Huawei Technologies, USA
William “Bill” Gerski has devoted much of his career to sales and strategic business development. He is currently VP of Sales at Huawei Technologies USA, where he works with rural Telco’s, Wireless Internet Service Providers and rural Electric Coop’s. Prior to this, he has worked with Dish Network, the NRTC (National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative), Sirius Satellite Radio, Golden Sky Systems, Time Warner, Viacom, Adelphia and Bell Atlantic, among others.
Bob Gessel Bob Gessel – Head of Technology and Network Strategy, Ericsson
Bob Gessel has 30+ years of experience in the Telecom, Communications and Software industries. He has been with Ericsson for 20 years and currently is the Head of Technology and Strategy Development for Ericsson North America. He is responsible for technology and portfolio strategy development driving vision, innovation, strategic planning, and technology evolution for Ericsson in the North American market. In 2003, Gessel founded SceneScape, Inc. to deliver WiFi based localized interactive and multimedia services for users of internet hot spots. In 2001 he founded MobileStream Wireless, Inc. targeting the mobile entertainment market focused on delivery of multimedia content and interactive services for large sports and entertainment venues. Gessel holds a B.S.E.E from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.

Joining the Pivot Group in October 2012 as one of its four Principals, Jeremy brings more than 15 years of telecom experience. He leads Pivot’s Telecom and Training Divisions. Prior to joining Pivot, Jeremy was Chief Operating Officer for Valley Telecom Group. His responsibilities included supervising all of the customer service, marketing and sales activities as well as new product development. Jeremy began his telecom career with North Central Telephone in Tennessee as the cooperative’s Director of Marketing and Customer Service. Jeremy has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Missouri State University.
Sam Harlan Sam Harlan – Vice President of Engineering, CHR Solutions
Mr. Harlan is responsible for engineering design, plans and specifications, contracts, and implementation of projects for CHR Solutions. This includes wireless design, electronic equipment designs, RUS Loan Designs and coordination with RUS to receive funding for both traditional and broadband loans. Mr. Harlan is responsible for the staff of Professional Engineers who perform design, consultation, quality control, and client satisfaction. Mr. Harlan also is responsible for video services, team leader of the Broadband Evolution Plan (BEP) activities and engineering coordinator of ARRA Stimulus Grant/Loan applications at CHR Solutions with a focus on network and video strategic planning. Mr. Harlan assists CHR clients with Market Driven Strategic Planning for client’s distribution, transport access, and switching systems using high level cost algorithms. These activities have resulted in multiple ARRA applications, network plans, and RDUP loan designs.
Brent Heilman Brent Heilman – Director of Programs, Frontier Secure
Joining Frontier Secure in April of 2012 as Director of Programs to lead the project and product offices, Brent leverages lean methodologies to a variety of organization knowledge including program office vision & strategic/operational planning, joint mission & partnerships, acquisitions/assimilation management, marketing, cost-center to profit-center transformation, contract compliance and budgeting.  After 6 years serving in the US Army 101st Airborne, Brent completed his AS in computer Science and BA in Business Management. Brent originates from Cleveland Ohio and was raised in south and central Florida where he lives today with his 5 children and wife Patricia.
Pat Herron Patrick Herron – Vice President of Product Management, ANPI
Patrick Herron is Vice President – Product Management at ANPI; the leading provider of Hosted Unified Communications solutions for small and medium business.  Pat drives the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for ANPI’s award winning Hosted Unified Communications product portfolio; supporting both the retail and wholesale lines of business.  He has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry in product, marketing, sales, operations, and general management.  Pat earned his MBA from the Booth School of Management at the University of Chicago, and a B.S. General Engineering from the University of Illinois.
Ed Hinson Edward Hinson – Executive Director of Competitive Operations, SkyLine Membership Corp
Edward Hinson is a communications and broadband solutions executive for SkyLine Membership Corporation. He currently serves as the Executive Director of Competitive Operations and is responsible for sales, marketing, public relations, economic development and security. Prior, he served in executive sales and leadership roles for TruVista, USA Mobility, and Verizon engaging heavily in both the public and private sector. He has served on a variety of advisory committees and board of directors during his tenure earning a multitude of awards including Business Person of the year by the Chamber of Commerce in South Carolina.  Edward holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and has more than 20 years of service in the telecom industry.
Rod Imbriani Rod Imbriani – Vice President-Product, Frontier Communications
Rod Imbriani is Vice President, Data Products for Frontier Communications. In this role he has responsibility for the company’s development and management of core data products.
Rod has a deep background in all facets of marketing, channel, and product management. Prior to joining Frontier, Rod served within Marketing at other Telecommunications companies such as FairPoint Communications, CenturyTel, Qwest and MCI. Rod started his telecommunications career at AT&T Bell Labs and US WEST Advanced Technologies as a developer of telecommunications services, working on PBXs. Rod is a graduate of The University of Colorado, graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics as well as a Masters of Business Administration. Rod lives in the Dallas area with his wife of 22 years and their two children.
DavidIsenberg Dave Isenberg – Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer, Atlantic Broadband
Atlantic Broadband’s Chief Marketing & Strategy Officer Dave Isenberg leads the company’s product, marketing and strategy planning and implementation efforts.  Dave’s vision led to the groundbreaking partnerships with both TiVo and Netflix, putting Atlantic Broadband at the forefront of the next generation of TV services. Dave has a history of pioneering service innovations over the past 20 years within the cable industry.  While at MediaOne in the 1990s, he was responsible for product strategy and development of one of the industry’s first Broadband Internet services. Prior to Atlantic Broadband, Dave held product and business development roles in two different startups in the Boston area. Dave has a BA in History from Yale University as well as an MBA from Harvard University.
 Jeff Kohler Jeff Kohler – Co-Founder & Chief Development Officer, JAB Wireless
Jeff Kohler co-founded JAB Broadband, the largest fixed wireless Internet service provider in the United States. He serves on the Board of Directors and is the company’s Chief Development Officer; responsible for all merger, acquisition and corporate development activities. Under his leadership, JAB has acquired over 100 companies during the past eight years. With 20+ years of wireless industry experience, Mr. Kohler previously served as Director of Corporate Finance and M&A with GVC Capital LLC, where he focused on mergers, acquisitions and capital formation within the wireless industry. Mr. Kohler was also CEO and Founder of Reason, Inc., a wireless management services company which was acquired by InPhonic (formerly NASDAQ:INPC) in 2002. Furthermore, he held senior positions with AT&T Wireless and McCaw Cellular Communications. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Wireless Communications Association International (WCAI) and the FCC Committee for the Wireless Internet Service Providers Association (WISPA). Mr. Kohler received his MBA from Regis University (Denver), a BS/BA from the University of Denver, and is a licensed General Securities Registered Representative.
John Koppin John Koppin – President, Indiana Telecommunications Associations
John Koppin has been president of the Indiana Telecommunications Association (ITA) for 20 years, will soon celebrate his 29th anniversary with the organization. Prior to his selection as president he served as vice president of the Association. As ITA president, Koppin advocates on behalf of the combined telecom industry in legislative, regulatory and public policy discussions. He regularly testifies before legislative committees on telecom matters. He has also participated in Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission forums, workshops, and committees. Prior to joining the ITA, he held positions in state government including Chief Deputy Director of the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency, Assistant to the Indiana Secretary of State and Staff to the Indiana House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee. Koppin holds a BA in Political Science and English from Wheaton College and a Masters Degree in Public Affairs-Finance from Indiana University. He also holds the professional designation Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the American Society of Association Executives.
Todd Lattanzi Todd Lattanzi – Director of Product Management, ADTRAN
As Director of Product Management for ADTRAN’s Enterprise Communications product lines, Todd Lattanzi is responsible for developing and executing product strategy for ADTRAN’s Bluesocket virtual wireless LAN family, NetVanta Ethernet switches, enterprise network management systems, as well as ADTRAN’s complete portfolio of enterprise services. Previously, Todd has held several positions in product management where he was responsible for launching ADTRAN’s first internetworking products. His background also includes design engineering for the company’s ISDN terminal adapters, where he was awarded three patents for ISDN technology development.
Jeff Leslie Jeff Leslie – President &CEO , ITS Telecom
Jeff Leslie has served as the CEO of ITS Telecom (An Indiantown, Florida Based Rural ILEC) and Indiantown Company, Inc (a water, sewer and land holding company) since 1996 and he purchased the companies in 2010. In 2012 he started ITS Fiber, LLC a non-regulated communication company that provides Fiber based communication services, Cloud Voice systems and services, IT consulting services and Data Center Services. Recently, the NTCA recognized Indiantown as one of only seven communities nationally to receive their Smart Rural Community Award. Jeff’s previous work experience lies in the field of accounting and banking and as a Florida Certified Public Accountant. Jeff presently serves on the NTCA Marketing Committee, The NECA Rate Development Task Force, the TECO PAC, the Northern Palm Beach County Fiber Development Committee and is also very active in his church and community.

Adam Lippman is a senior member of Verizon Wireless’ Business Development and Strategic Alliances team and has extensive experience designing and launching complex, collaboration-based partnerships that deliver lasting business results. Prior to developing and launching the LTE in Rural America program, Mr. Lippman spent five years in Marketing where he was responsible for roadmap planning and bringing Verizon Wireless’ most strategic products and services to market. Mr. Lippman resides in New Jersey, has his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, MBA, and holds both domestic and international certifications in project and program management.
Martin Lowery Martin Lowery – Executive Vice President, NRECA
Dr. Martin Lowery is Executive Vice President, Member and Association Relations, of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. He is an inductee to the U.S. Cooperative Hall of Fame, the highest honor bestowed on individuals who have made heroic contributions to the cooperative community. He serves on the boards of the Ralph K. Morris Foundation, the National Cooperative Business Association and the National Cooperative Bank and is the U.S. representative to the board of the International Cooperative Alliance headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. Dr. Lowery is a graduate of DePaul University and holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Duke University.

Steve Pastorkovich, Vice President – Training and Development, NTCA

Steve Pastorkovich is Vice President of Training and Development at NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association. He oversees programming and education offered at NTCA events, and works with members and other groups to examine new technologies and applications that can enhance revenues and reduce costs for rural telecommunications carriers. He previously served at the Organization for the Promotion and Advancement of Small Telecommunications Companies (OPASTCO) as Business Development Director and Senior Policy Analyst. Steve has extensive experience working video and broadband policy issues, and has addressed these and other topics at both the Federal Communications Commission and on Capitol Hill. He has also worked for industry and political media outlets, and began his Washington career with positions in national political organizations.

Ken Pyle Ken Pyle – President, Viodi
Since 2002 Pyle has published the Viodi View newsletter and since 2007 has produced over 1,000 videos that are on the ViodiTV video web site, as well as vendor, operator and association web sites. Pyle has built his company, Viodi, into a trusted source for information about the convergence of broadband, technology and applications and their impact on rural independent broadband operators. Since 2004, he has led workshops on the topic of local content with attendence from people representing over 100 operators. His telecommunications and content industry experience includes, sales, marketing and engineering roles at companies such as ZillionTV, DemandVideo, E/O Networks, Raynet and C-Cor.
Maggie Quinn Maggie Quinn – Director, Strategic Partnerships, Frontier Secure
As director of strategic partnerships for Frontier Secure, Maggie Quinn leads our efforts to build strong business-to-business relationships. She researches potential partners to understand their business needs, initiates contact and guides subsequent conversations. Based on what we learn, Maggie leads the team in crafting a Frontier Secure solution that meets the customer’s goals. Maggie joined Frontier Communications in May of 2003 as vice president of commercial sales for the eastern region. During her career with the company, she helped launch wireless data services, served as corporate director of wireless data for the eastern U.S. and as director of commercial strategy. She assumed her current role in November 2013. Before joining Frontier, Maggie was a consultant with Gotham City Partners and worked for 13 years for MCI Corp., where she held numerous leadership positions. She began her telecommunications career with RCI Corp. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in speech communications from State University of New York Geneseo.

Shahbaz Rahmanian is a Senior IP Video Architect at Ericsson and responsible for defining network and IP Video architecture utilizing the TV Everywhere, OTT, Multiscreen and Mediaroom Middleware. Prior to Ericsson, Shahbaz served as director of Video Technologies at CHR Solutions and before that he was Sr. Technical Solution Manager at Huawei Technologies USA responsible for marketing the IPTV, CDN, and IMS solutions. Shahbaz Rahmanian has also served as senior member of Architecture team at Alcatel-Lucent and he was responsible for defining the architecture and requirements for the AT&T U-Verse IPTV network. Shahbaz received his Master of Sciences in Computer Engineering from Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences department of University of Illinois.

Valerie Wimer Valerie Wimer – Vice President, John Staurulakis, Inc.
JSI Vice President Valerie Wimer joined JSI in 1997. Her business development group assists clients with strategic and tactical plans for growing their businesses in a competitive environment. Valerie evaluates strategies and business plans for video, VoIP, service bundling, data, CLEC, DSL, LNP and other new product lines. Dr. Rouzbeh Yassini is the Executive Director of the University of New Hampshire’s Broadband Center of Excellence (BCoE) located in Durham, N.H. In this capacity he oversees the center’s efforts to make broadband technology ubiquitous around the world. Yassini has worked for more than 30 years in broadband, achieving major accomplishments such as inventing the broadband cable modem and leading the process to standardize the workings of those modems to make them affordable. He holds an Honorary Ph.D. in Science and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University, an Honorary Ph.D. from Merrimack College, as well as an equivalent MBA from General Electric’s Financial Management Program.
